About the Forum

Key changes in the packaging market: from requirements to practical solutions

From 12 August 2026 the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) applies, changing the rules of the packaging market across the European Union. The new requirements affect the entire packaging value chain – from manufacturers and suppliers to importers, retailers and the waste-management sector.

For businesses, this means not only new obligations, but also the need to reassess packaging design, materials, recyclability, labelling, data and traceability. “Pack Cycle Forum” is where PPWR requirements are translated into practical solutions. Businesses, regulators, Baltic and international experts will meet here to answer not only “what has changed?”, but most importantly “how should businesses move forward and what is the future of packaging?”

Forum Objective

The forum aims to give companies clarity, practical insights and solutions that will help them adapt to the changing packaging market.

Audience

Manufacturers, importers, retailers, waste managers and packaging developers.

Why attend?

  • Hear directly from regulators: what the practical application of PPWR will mean for business and what to expect in the coming years.
  • Understand what will affect your packaging costs: how harmonisation, EPR and eco-modulation will affect company decisions and costs.
  • Prepare for new data and traceability requirements: what packaging information will be required and how to manage it across the supply chain.
  • See where the packaging market is heading: which materials, technologies and recyclability solutions will shape the packaging market in 2035.

UAB RilemijaAccounting, GPAIS and EPR

PPWR changes not only the requirements for packaging – it is becoming increasingly important for companies to know what packaging they use, what data they have about it and where that data comes from. The practical workshop will cover 7 questions that will help a company assess its packaging accounting, GPAIS data, collection of information from suppliers and internal responsibilities in the context of PPWR changes. The aim is to help the company understand what it already has and what is worth starting to organise now.

VšĮ Pakuotė RatuMore than 20 years of packaging production and recycling experience

The experts at VšĮ “Pakuotė Ratu” have worked in packaging production and recycling for more than 20 years, so they know exactly what suppliers, customers, retail chains and inspectors will ask about your packaging. To help companies navigate PPAR (PPWR) requirements, “Pakuotė Ratu” created a practical questionnaire that acts as a roadmap and immediately shows where you are already compliant and what is still missing. By answering the questions, companies also carry out a compliance assessment that becomes the basis for an EU declaration of conformity.
